Authors' Bios:
Heather Hartley is Paris editor at Tin House and the author of Knock Knock released by Carnegie Mellon University Press; her second collection will also be published by CMU. Her poems, essays and interviews have appeared in or on PBS NewsHour, The Guardian, The Literary Review and other venues. Her monthly column, "Apéritif," about literary Paris, is on the Tin House website.
Jillian Lauren is the author of the novel Pretty and the New York Times bestselling memoir Some Girls: My Life in a Harem (Mes Nuits Au Harem, First Editions). Her new memoir, Everything You Ever Wanted, will be published by Penguin in 2014. Her writing has appeared in The Paris Review Daily, The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Los Angeles Magazine, Salon, The Rumpus and The Moth Anthology, among others. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and son.
Paul Schmidtberger is the author of the novel Design Flaws of the Human Condition (Doubleday/Broadway). His writing has also appeared in the New York Times. Born and raised in Schooley’s Mountain, New Jersey, Paul has lived in Paris for the past fifteen years. He teaches in the faculty of law at the University of Paris V–Descartes.
